Full-Time Nanny in Chelsea

Child’s age: 3 years old

Start Date: August 31st. Interviews starting August 7th

Location: Chelsea, Manhattan

Schedule: Monday-Friday, approximately 11:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m., with occasional date nights. The family can guarantee 40-45+ hours per week, with the opportunity for additional hours depending on the agreed-upon schedule and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, loving care for the child throughout the day
• Plan fun activities
• Pick up the child from a half-day of preschool
• Prepare healthy meals and snacks; the child enjoys helping in the kitchen.
• Safely transport her to and from school, activities, and playdates
• Engage her in age-appropriate indoor and outdoor play that supports her development
• Manage the child’s laundry
• Maintain consistent routines for meals, naps, and daily activities
• Keep the child’s bedroom, play areas, main spaces of the home, and the child’s belongings clean, organized, and reset throughout the day
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and organized environment.

• Honest, dependable, and an excellent communicator 
• Confident communicating with parents about their child
• Professional, emotionally mature, and receptive to feedback
• Supports the family’s respectful parenting philosophy while confidently establishing age-appropriate boundaries
• Interested in building a long-term relationship and growing with the family

Compensation & Benefits

• $35-$40+/hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and overall fit
• Overtime paid in accordance with applicable law
• Two weeks of paid vacation

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional nanny experience with relevant age groups
• Strong communication skills
• CPR and Infant First Aid certified (or willing to renew)
• Up to date on vaccinations
• Outstanding professional references
