#617 –  Weekend Nanny in Englewood Cliffs, NJ

Location: Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey

Age of child: 1.5 years old

Start date: As soon as the right fit is found 

General schedule: Saturdays and Sundays from approximately 11am – 7pm

The Ideal Candidate:

• This position is ideal for a nanny seeking a steady, long-term weekend opportunity.
• Significant experience working with infants and toddlers
• Active, engaging, trustworthy, and dependable
• Genuinely passionate about working with children and supporting their cognitive, physical, and emotional development
• Structured and consistent with sleep and feeding routines
• A strong communicator with both children and parents
• Reliable, punctual, and highly organized
• Encourages creativity, imagination, and a love of learning
• Easygoing yet professional in demeanor
• Neat, tidy, and attentive to hygiene
• A confident swimmer is a plus (the family has a pool at their home)
• Ability to drive is strongly preferred for commuting to and from the family’s home

Job Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

• Actively engaging the child in fun, age-appropriate activities
• Diapering and supporting healthy hygiene habits
• Managing the child’s sleep and feeding schedule
• Child’s laundry
• Reading, indoor and outdoor play, and developmental engagement
• Preparing meals for the child
• Taking the child to activities 
• Keeping the child’s room and shared spaces clean, organized, and tidy

Requirements:

• 4+ years of nanny experience with a similar age group
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S
• 2–3 strong, relevant references
• Active, energetic, and physically able to lift and carry the child
• Vaccinated (TDAP, COVID, Flu)
• CPR and First Aid Certified (or willing to get it renewed)
• Non-smoker

Compensation and Benefits: 

• $40.00 + per hour, depending on experience
• Guaranteed 16 hours of pay each weekend
• The family anticipates occasional weekends away or without childcare needs, offering the nanny regular paid downtime throughout the year in addition to guaranteed pay
• Paid sick leave accrued in accordance with applicable New Jersey state sick leave laws
