Schedule: Mornings or afternoons; the family is flexible and willing to work with the right nanny’s availability. Approximately 15-25 hours per week, with guaranteed hours based on the agreed-upon schedule.

Position and Family Overview

A tight-knit and loving Upper East Side family is seeking an experienced, warm, and dependable nanny for their 1-year-old daughter. Both parents work full-time outside of the home, and the child’s grandmother has been providing much of her daytime care. The family is now looking for a nanny to take on part of the weekly childcare schedule and provide consistent, attentive care during those hours.

The family is looking for someone nurturing, kind, and genuinely passionate about working with children. They value health and safety, open communication, and a collaborative approach. 

This is a long-term position for someone who would enjoy becoming an important and trusted part of the family.

Key Responsibilities 

• Provide attentive, loving care for the child 
• Safely transport and accompany the child to local activities
• Prepare healthy meals and snacks
• Engage her in age-appropriate indoor and outdoor play that supports her development
• Manage the child’s laundry
• Read to the child
• Maintain the naptime and mealtime routines 
• Keep the child’s bedroom, play areas, and the child’s belongings clean and organized
• Clean up after meal preparation and the child’s meals
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and organized environment.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of recent, relevant nanny experience 
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S
• Professional references from prior families
• CPR and First Aid Certified (or willing to get it renewed)
• Vaccinated
• Non-smoker
• Team player with a collaborative mindset
• Commitment to limited use of screen time around the child
• Active, engaging, playful, and warm
• Health and safety-conscious 

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting at $40/hour gross, depending on experience and credentials
