About the Family
A warm and loving mother is seeking a full-time nanny for her sweet, curious, and active 18-month-old son. Mom works full-time on a hybrid schedule, splitting her time between working from home and in the office.
The child is highly observant, social, communicative, and loves outdoor play and interactive games. The family follows a gentle parenting philosophy and values the Montessori method and child-led play. Seeking a nanny who deeply respects children as individuals, values emotional regulation, and can support the child’s growth with patience, sensitivity, and intention.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Warm, kind, communicative, and emotionally intelligent
- Deeply attentive to a child’s emotional and developmental needs
- Experienced with toddlers and early developmental milestones
- Sensitive, patient, and able to connect with children on an individual level
- Aligned with gentle parenting, Montessori principles, and child-led play
- Highly engaged and present (minimal personal phone use while actively caring for the child)
- Active and enthusiastic about spending time outdoors
- Strong in English communication
- Comfortable with travel and comfortable with being on or around boats; a confident swimmer is preferred
Nice to Have:
- Montessori certification
- German or Polish speaking
- Enjoys travel and adventure
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Actively engaging the child in fun, age-appropriate activities
- Supporting the achievement of age-appropriate milestones
- Diaper changes and supporting healthy hygiene
- Maintaining the child’s nap and eating schedules
- Child-related meal preparation and laundry
- Taking the child to parks, playdates, classes, and activities
- Keeping the home’s main spaces and the child’s room clean and tidy
- Occasional child-related errands
- Maintaining open daily communication with Mom
- Supporting family travel and helping maintain the child’s routines and transitions while away
Travel
Travel is required for approximately 6 weeks per year, typically in 1 – 2 week increments. Destinations include domestic and international travel.
Requirements
- Significant full-time nanny experience with toddlers and school-aged children
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Strong, relevant childcare references
- Strong English communication skills
- Confident swimmer
- Fully vaccinated
- Tech-comfortable and able to navigate everyday smartphone communication/tools
- Non-smoker
- Able to travel domestically and internationally
- Flexible with the schedule
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive compensation, starting at approximately $40/hr, based on experience and credentials
- Overtime paid after 40 hours per week
