Full-Time Nanny in Downtown Brooklyn
Location: Downtown Brooklyn, New York
Schedule: Monday – Friday, from approximately 8:30 – 6pm. 45-50 hours per week.
Child’s age at start: ~5 months old
Ideal start date: May 2026
About the Family:
Loving, first-time parents are seeking a warm, experienced, and dependable nanny for their first child. Both parents work full-time, one primarily from home, and value a knowledgeable caregiver who brings experience and insight while working in partnership with them. Their baby is happy and inquisitive, and thrives with caregivers who enjoy interactive, play-based engagement. The family prefers to limit screen time and values hands-on, developmentally focused care.
Job Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Thoughtfully plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote engagement, learning, and growth.
- Diaper changes and supporting overall healthy hygiene
- Bottle feedings, keeping the bottles and other equipment clean and sterilized
- Introducing solids and preparing meals for the child
- Maintaining the child’s sleeping and eating schedules
- Child’s laundry
- Keeping the child’s room and the shared spaces in the home clean and tidy
- Reading to the child, tummy time, indoor and outdoor play
- Taking the child on walks and to parks / libraries / classes
- Helping the child reach his milestones
- Maintain a daily communication with the parents
Ideal Candidate:
- Genuinely passionate about working with children and supporting their cognitive, physical, and emotional development
- Attentive and prioritizes the child’s safety and well-being
- Professional, collaborative, and an excellent communicator, with the ability to work comfortably alongside parents who work from home (in a separate space).
- Active, engaging, and energetic
- Warm, patient, and nurturing
- Neat, clean, and organized
- Experience supporting children in reaching developmental milestones, including establishing sleep routines and introducing solids.
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 years of recent nanny experience
- Extensive experience with infants
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S
- Professional references from prior families
- Vaccinated (Tdap and Flu)
- CPR and First Aid Certified (or willing to get it renewed)
- Non-smoker
Compensation: $35.00 – $40.00/hour, on a W-2. Overtime is paid after 40 hours per week.
