New parents in Tribeca, New York City are seeking a patient, warm, and experienced Newborn Care Specialist / Night Nurse for their first child, a baby girl, due in January.

The start date will be approximately January 18th, 2024. The contract will be for 8 weeks, possibly extending to 10 weeks if mutually agreed upon.

The general schedule is 7pm - 7am and will start off 7 days a week for 2 weeks. 5 days a week thereafter for the additional weeks. 

 

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to;

  • Everything involving the safety, care, and well-being of the child.

  • Guiding the parents on best care practices while supporting the parent’s decisions. 

  • Help create a sleep and feeding schedule.

  • Diaper and clothes changes as needed 

  • Maintaining overall healthy hygiene of the baby.

  • The baby’s laundry.

  • Equipment sterilization.

  • Keeping the baby’s room and bathroom clean and tidy. 

  • Helping to maintain a clean and sterile environment for the baby. 

  • Providing a list of suggestions for the baby’s room and for baby-related products.

 

The ideal candidate will have many years of experience as a Newborn Care Specialist / Night Nurse and will be responsible, reliable, professional, have excellent work ethic, have a positive attitude, attentive, nurturing, honest, flexible, proactive, a self-starter, and actively engaged with the baby.

The family has a 4 year old Mini Golden Doodle. The pup is very friendly. The nanny is not responsible for the pup but must feel comfortable around medium sized dogs.

 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant NCS/ Night Nurse experience.

  • Newborn Care Certification.

  • Legally permitted to work in the U.S.

  • Clean background check. 

  • Neat, clean, orderly. 

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Excellent references. 

  • Trained in Infant CPR and First Aid.

  • Fully Vaccinated (covid, Tdap, Flu, MMR)

  • Ability to commute to and from work and live within a reasonable distance.

Salary: $40-45.00 + an hour, depending on experience.
