#653 – Newborn Care Specialist in Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Start Date: Approximately April 1, 2027, depending on the baby’s arrival.

Length of Contract: 8 weeks, through June 1, 2027, with the possibility of an extension by mutual agreement.

Schedule:

• 24/7 for the first two weeks
• Following the initial two weeks, overnight care from approximately 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., 5 or 6 nights per week.
• The family is open to discussing scheduling options with the right NCS

About the Family

First-time parents in Williamsburg are seeking an experienced, calm, and knowledgeable Newborn Care Specialist to support them as they welcome their baby. They value clear communication, structure, and a reassuring presence, and would appreciate guidance with feeding, sleep, and establishing routines.

The family has one friendly cat. No travel is required.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Everything involving the safety, care, and well-being of the child
• Guiding the parents on best care practices while supporting the parent’s decisions 
• Maintaining the baby’s sleep and feeding schedule
• Diaper changes
• Maintaining overall healthy hygiene of the baby
• Keeping the baby’s room and bathroom clean and tidy 
• Helping to maintain a clean and sterile environment for the baby
• Soothing the baby and getting the baby back down to sleep 
• Maintaining a calm and peaceful environment for the baby
• Provide a list of suggestions for baby-related products
• Keep track of the overnight routine (the baby’s eating, sleeping, and behavioral patterns)

Qualifications

• 5+ years of recent Newborn Care Specialist experience
• Excellent references
• Fully vaccinated
• Calm, patient, flexible, and supportive
• Current Infant CPR and First Aid certification
• Legally permitted to work in the U.S.
• Comfortable working in a home with a cat.

Compensation: $45-55+ per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. 

Commuter Benefit: $150 monthly OMNY reimbursement
