Start Date: Approximately December 25, 2026. Flexibility to begin earlier if the baby arrives before the due date is a plus.

Length of Contract: Approximately 4–6 months, with the exact duration to be agreed upon.

The family is open to sharing coverage between 2 Newborn Care Specialists, either on a rotating schedule of 2 weeks on/2 weeks off or by dividing the contract into consecutive assignments, with one NCS covering the first couple of months and another covering the remainder.

Schedule:

  • The family would prefer this arrangement for approximately 3 months but is open to discussing a transition to weekend time off after the first two months and overnight coverage only after the first three months.

Child’s Age: Newborn. The family is expecting their second child and has a 3½-year-old son who attends school and has a full-time nanny.

Location: Upper East Side

About the Family

An experienced family in NYC is seeking a knowledgeable, calm, and proactive Newborn Care Specialist to support them as they welcome their second child.

The parents value a structured yet responsive approach to newborn care, with an emphasis on feeding, healthy sleep habits, and developmentally appropriate engagement. They appreciate clear communication, discretion, and someone who can offer guidance while remaining receptive to their preferences and feedback.

Both parents will initially spend more time at home before returning to work about 6 weeks after the baby’s arrival. The NCS will work collaboratively with the parents and their established daytime nanny. The household also includes a calm, friendly dog.
