Full-Time Nanny in Long Island City, NYC

Location: Long Island City, Queens, NY

Schedule: 8:00 – 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday

Child’s age: 1 year old (g)

Ideal start date: Beginning to mid-May, 2026

Job Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

• Thoughtfully plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote engagement and learning
• Taking the child to classes, activities, walks, and playdates 
• Diaper changes and supporting overall healthy hygiene
• Sterilizing bottles and baby equipment 
• Helping the child reach her milestones 
• Reading to the child
• Children’s laundry
• Meal preparation for the child
• Maintaining the child’s sleeping and eating schedules
• Restocking the changing table, diaper bag, and child-related items
• Keeping the child’s room and the main spaces of the home clean and tidy
• Maintain a daily communication log via a shared app or group chat with the parents

Ideal Candidate:

• Energetic, active, and engaging 
• A background or education in early childhood education or child development is highly valued 
• Genuinely passionate about working with children and supporting their cognitive, physical, and emotional development
• Attentive and prioritizes the child’s safety and well-being
• Upbeat, warm, and nurturing 
• Professional demeanor and positive attitude
• An excellent communicator
• Neat, clean, and organized
• Interested in a long-term role and growing with the family 
• Pet friendly – the family has a friendly cat. 

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant nanny experience with a similar age group
• Experience with infants and toddlers
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S
• Professional references from prior families
• Fully vaccinated (MMR, Tdap, Covid, Flu)
• CPR and First Aid Certified (or willing to get it renewed)
• Pet friendly 
• Fluent in English

Compensation: $35.00-$40.00 gross per hour. Overtime is paid for hours worked over 40 per week.
