NCS/Night Nurse Needed in Soho, NYC

New parents in Soho, NYC, are seeking an experienced Newborn Care Specialist to support their first child, who will be three months old at the start. 

The ideal start date is March 2nd with a target end date of June 2nd, 2026.

The schedule is overnight, 7:00pm–7:00am, Sunday through Friday.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

• Ensure the child’s safety, care, and overall well-being overnight
• Provide guidance to parents on best newborn care practices while supporting their preferences
• Support the development of healthy sleep habits and establish and maintain a sleep schedule
• Diaper changes 
• Maintain the baby’s hygiene and overall cleanliness
• Baby-related laundry
• Sterilize bottles and baby equipment 
• Keep the baby’s room and bathroom clean, organized, and hygienic
• Maintain a calm, clean, and sanitary environment appropriate for a newborn
• Use gentle soothing techniques to help calm the baby and create a peaceful overnight environment
• Track and communicate overnight routines, including feeding, sleeping, and behavioral patterns

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience as a Newborn Care Specialist and bring a warm, kind, and professional presence. Strong knowledge of infant care, reliability, and excellent communication skills are essential.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant NCS experience.
• Legally permitted to work in the U.S.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent references. 
• Trained in Infant CPR and First Aid
• Fully Vaccinated (COVID, Tdap, Flu, MMR)
• Lives within a reasonable distance to Soho

Compensation: $45-50 an hour, depending on experience.
