#595- NCS/Night Nurse Needed in Brooklyn Heights

New parents in Brooklyn Heights, New York, are seeking an experienced Newborn Care Specialist to support their first child, a 16-day-old baby boy.

The ideal start date is January 19, with a target end date of April 20th, 2026.

The schedule is overnight, 7:00pm–7:00am, Monday through Friday or Sunday through Thursday.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

• Ensure the child’s safety, care, and overall well-being overnight
• Provide guidance to parents on best newborn care practices while supporting their preferences
• Support the development of healthy sleep habits and help establish a sleep schedule
• Diaper changes 
• Maintain the baby’s hygiene and overall cleanliness
• Baby-related laundry
• Sterilize bottles and baby equipment 
• Keep the baby’s room and bathroom clean, organized, and hygienic
• Maintain a calm, clean, and sanitary environment appropriate for a newborn
• Use gentle soothing techniques to help calm the baby and create a peaceful overnight environment
• Track and communicate overnight routines, including feeding, sleeping, and behavioral patterns

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience as a Newborn Care Specialist and bring a warm, kind, and professional presence. Strong knowledge of infant care, reliability, and excellent communication skills are essential.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant NCS experience.
• Legally permitted to work in the U.S.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent references. 
• Trained in Infant CPR and First Aid
• Fully Vaccinated (COVID, Tdap, Flu, MMR)
• Live within a reasonable distance to Brooklyn Heights

Compensation: $40 + an hour, depending on experience.
