Live-in / Live-out ROTA Nannies needed in SOHO

Location: SOHO, NYC

Child’s age: 6 months old

Start date: March 2026

General Schedule:

  • 7 days on / 7 days off rotation
  • 24-hour coverage during on-duty days

A bedroom and private bathroom will be provided for the nanny.

The position will begin as a live-in role for the first year and transition to live-out thereafter

The Ideal Candidate:

  • This position is ideal for a highly experienced, professional nanny seeking a steady, long-term ROTA role with a family in which they can thrive – someone with a warm and positive attitude who can bring a sense of calm to the home.
  • A nanny with significant experience working with infants and toddlers, who is knowledgeable about children’s development & genuinely loves caring for them
  • Flexible with scheduling and with the other ROTA nanny – a team player mindset
  • Emotionally regulated and attuned to the children’s needs
  • A trustworthy and honest nature and strong communication skills.
  • Proactive, engaging, and genuinely invested in supporting children and families
  • Punctual, reliable, and professional demeanor while fostering a warm and nurturing atmosphere
  • Passport-ready and able to travel
  • A background in early childhood education or related certifications and training is valued
  • Experienced with both infants and toddlers 
  • Energetic and engaged – Enjoys being active and planning engaging, hands-on activities.
  • Knowledgeable about early childhood development – Incorporates age-appropriate learning through reading, creative arts, sensory play, early literacy and numeracy, and other enriching activities.
  • Organized and self-directed – Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage time and tasks independently.
  • Comfortable with logistics – managing schedules, arranging activities, and handling transportation.
  • Capable in the kitchen – planning, preparing, and serving healthy meals and snacks.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Everything relating the well-being of the child
  • Plan and actively engage the child in fun, age-appropriate activities
  • Supporting the achievement of age-appropriate milestones (e.g., transitioning to solids, learning to walk, potty training, etc).
  • Bottle feedings and sterilization of the baby’s equipment
  • Diaper changes and supporting healthy hygiene
  • Maintaining the child’s nap and eating schedules
  • Child’s laundry
  • Restocking child-related items and the diaper bag
  • Walks, reading, singing, indoor and outdoor play
  • Meal preparation for the child
  • Bedtime and bathtime routines
  • Eventual school pick-up and drop-offs, and taking the child to activities and playdates
  • Keeping the home’s main spaces and the child’s room clean and tidy
  • Frequent stays in the family’s home in Connecticut.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of full-time nanny experience
  • 5+ years of experience working with infants
  • Legally permitted to work in the U.S.
  • 2-3 relevant references.
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally
  • Prior experience working with high-net-worth families preferred
  • Comfortable with mom working from home

Compensation: Starting at $140,000 per year, with final compensation based on experience, credentials, and overall fit.

Benefits:

  • Major holidays will rotate annually between the two ROTA nannies. When a major holiday is worked, compensation will be paid at 1.5x the regular rate. The family is open to accommodating important personal or religious observances with advance notice, whenever possible.
