Location: Garden City, Long Island

General Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm, with occasional flexibility needed.

Child’s age at start: 6 months old 

Ideal start date: January 2026

Job Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Planning and facilitating age-appropriate, enriching, and engaging activities
  • Diaper changes and supporting overall healthy hygiene
  • Preparing bottles, feeding, and keeping the bottles clean and sterilized. 
  • Managing the child’s laundry and keeping the baby’s room and main living areas tidy and sanitized
  • Helping establish and maintain the baby’s sleep and feeding schedule and other routines
  • Taking the child to classes, activities, and appointments
  • Introducing solids and preparing meals for the child, and helping the child reach other milestones 
  • Keeping the child’s room and the shared spaces in the home clean and tidy
  • Taking the child on walks, tummy time, and reading to the child
  • Restocking wipes and other child-related items, and keeping the child’s equipment (strollers, high chair, etc.) clean and sanitized.
  • Let the dogs out in the backyard twice a day

Ideal Candidate:

  • Extremely reliable and punctual 
  • Active, engaging, playful, and loving
  • Genuinely passionate about working with children and supporting their cognitive, physical, and emotional development
  • Attentive and prioritizes the child’s safety and well-being
  • Knowledgeable about healthy child development and creates fun, developmentally enriching activities
  • Neat, clean, and organized

Nice to have (but not required)

  • Able to drive
  • Foreign language skills
  • Open to light family meal prep while preparing the child’s meals, as time allows.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of nanny experience
  • Minimum 2 years of nanny experience with infants and toddlers
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S
  • Professional references from prior families
  • Fully vaccinated, including Tdap, seasonal flu, MMR, and varicella (or willing to get it renewed)
  • CPR and First Aid Certified (or willing to get it renewed)
  • Pet-friendly – the family has a pug and a Labrador
  • Flexibility for occasional earlier starts

Compensation: Base hourly rate starting at $35.00 + (gross). Overtime after 40 hours per week. Guaranteed 50 hours per week.
