Location: Upper West Side, Manhattan

General Schedule: Monday – Thursday 8am – 6pm (or M-F 9am-5pm)

Child’s age at start: Approximately 5 months old at start

Ideal start date: January 2026

Job Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Planning and facilitating age-appropriate, enriching, and engaging activities
  • Diaper changes and supporting overall healthy hygiene
  • Baby is fed by bottle and breastfeeding. When the baby is bottle-fed, the nanny will be responsible for preparing bottles, feeding, and keeping the bottles clean and sterilized. 
  • Managing the child’s laundry and keeping the baby’s room and main living areas tidy and sanitized
  • Taking the child to classes, activities, and appointments
  • Introducing solids and preparing meals for the child, and helping the child reach other milestones 
  • Keeping the child’s room and the shared spaces in the home clean and tidy
  • Taking the child on walks, tummy time, and reading to the child
  • Supporting the baby’s nap routines and providing soothing as needed
  • Restocking wipes and other child-related items, and keeping the child’s equipment (strollers, high chair, etc.) clean and sanitized.

  • Genuinely passionate about working with children and supporting their cognitive, physical, and emotional development
  • Patient, kind, and nurturing 
  • Collaborative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Neat, clean, and organized
  • Attentive and prioritizes the child’s safety and well-being
  • Creative and enjoys coming up with fun creative projects

Nice to have (but not required)

  • Additional language skills
  • Familiarity with the Possums Sleep Program

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of nanny experience
  • Minimum 3 years of nanny experience with infants and toddlers
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S
  • Professional references from prior families
  • Fully vaccinated 
  • CPR and First Aid Certified (or willing to get it renewed)
  • Comfortable in the water (if ever needed)
  • Pet-friendly – the family has two cats
  • Flexibility for occasional later evenings 

Compensation: Base hourly rate of $40-45 (gross). Guaranteed 40 hours per week.
