About the Family

A professional and welcoming family in Fort Greene is seeking a nurturing, experienced, and proactive nanny to care for their 10-month-old son. They’re looking for someone who is communicative, curious, kind, and creative – with recent experience caring for infants and toddlers. This is a long-term opportunity with the potential to grow alongside the family and potentially expand the role to include household management duties if their nanny is interested in a hybrid role. Their primary goal is to find a loving and attentive nanny for their child.

  • Engaging the child in fun, age-appropriate, and enriching activities that promote his learning and development
  • Diaper changes and supporting healthy hygiene
  • Sanitizing the child’s equipment (e.g, the stroller, highchair, bottles)
  • Maintaining the child’s napping and feeding schedules
  • Organize playdates, outings, and create enrichment opportunities
  • Managing the child’s laundry and organizing his closets
  • Restocking child-related supplies (e.g., the diaper bag, backpack, snacks)
  • Bathtime routine
  • Tidying the child’s bedroom, play area, kitchen, and shared spaces
  • Preparing healthy meals for the child

  • Making calls and sending emails
  • Coordinating with contractors and service providers

  • Managing dry cleaning and other errands

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Recent experience with infants and toddlers
  • Strong communication skills
  • A calm, warm, and positive demeanor
  • Flexibility to grow with the family over 5+ years
  • A college education is preferred but not required
  • Interest in household or assistant duties is a plus, but not a requirement

Travel & Other Notes

  • Occasional travel opportunities (e.g., San Francisco, London, Europe), though not required
  • 1 cat in the home
  • German is spoken in the home but not required of the nanny
