#565- Full-Time Nanny in Chelsea, NYC

Location: Chelsea, Manhattan

General Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 6:00pm

• December–January: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM (core hours ~40/week). 40 hours guaranteed for first 8 weeks; potential for overtime
• From February onward: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM (50 hours/week guaranteed)
• Flexibility for occasional date nights/evening/weekend coverage 

Child’s age: Infant girl (approximately 6 weeks old at start)

Ideal start date: early to mid-December

Job Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

• Planning and facilitating age-appropriate, enriching, and engaging activities (e.g tummy time, sensory play, talking, singing & reading to the baby, going on walks, etc.)
• Diaper changes and supporting overall healthy hygiene
• Bottle feedings, keeping the bottles and other equipment clean and sterilized
• Maintaining the child’s sleeping and eating schedules
• Managing the child’s laundry and keeping the nursery and main living areas tidy and sanitized
• Introducing solids and preparing meals for the child, and helping the child reach other milestones 
• Keeping the child’s room and the shared spaces in the home clean and tidy
• Maintain a daily parent communication log via the family’s preferred method (shared app or group chat)
• Occasional travel with the family; this year will include a holiday, New Year’s Day in Florida and St. Barth’s in February (approximately one week each)
• Running errands as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 5-7 years of recent nanny experience 
• Extensive experience with infants
• A valid passport; available for occasional travel throughout the year.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S
• Valid Driver’s License a plus
• 3 strong, relevant references
• Fully vaccinated and up to date with Covid booster and MMR vaccinations
• CPR and First Aid Certified (or willing to get it renewed)
• Must love dogs; the family has a friendly medium-sized dog

Compensation: Base rate starting at $35.00 + per hour (gross). The position is guaranteed for 40 hours per week for the first eight (8) weeks and will increase to 50 hours per week guaranteed beginning in February 2026. Any hours over 40 are paid at 1.5 times the agreed-upon base rate.
