Full-Time Nanny in Pelham (Westchester), N.Y. 

Location: Pelham, New York

Start Date: End of August

Ages of the Child: 6 and 4 years old

Schedule: Monday through Thursday, from approximately 7:45 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Fridays from around 7:45 a.m. until approximately 4:45 p.m. 

Job Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

• Actively engaging the children in fun, age-appropriate, and educational activities
• School drop-off and pick-up (walking to elementary school nearby and driving to Pre-K, a few minutes away)
• Driving the children to and from activities
• Children’s laundry
• Meal preparation for the children 
• Preparing and packing healthy school lunches and snacks
• Keeping the children’s bedrooms and main areas of the home clean and tidy
• Facilitating outdoor play, indoor play, and arranging playdates
• Reading with the children and encouraging imaginative play
• Maintaining open and consistent communication with the parents regarding daily routines and developments

The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is warm, energetic, and experienced, with at least 5 years of professional experience caring for young children, including multiples. The children are happy, curious, and energetic – they love to ask questions and chat –  so someone who is patient, kind, and genuinely enjoys engaging with children will be a great fit.

The family is also looking for a nanny who can confidently support routines and schedules, model and enforce good behavior, and is a kind person and positive role model for the children. 

Requirements:

• 5+ years of relevant nanny experience, including preschool-age care and multiples
• 2–3 professional references
• Valid driver’s license and driving experience with children
• CPR and First Aid Certified (or willing to renew certification)
• Fully vaccinated
• Responsible, attentive, and safety-conscious
• Energetic and enjoys active, play-based interaction with children
• Lives within a reasonable distance to Pelham, NY

Pluses (Not Required):

• Experience managing food allergies (one of the children has an egg allergy)
• Comfortable supervising in a pool (the children have access to a pool during the summer)

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly Rate: $35+ gross per hour for the first 40 hours
• Overtime: Time-and-a-half (1.5x hourly rate) for hours over 40
• Paid Time Off:
