Full-Time Nanny on the Upper West Side

Location: Upper West Side, NY, NY

Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 12pm – 8pm, with some flexibility for occasional early start or end times. Additional date nights/weekend coverage as needed, when available.

Child’s age: currently 3 months old. 

Ideal start date: end of March / early April

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Warm, kind, patient, thoughtful, engaging and energetic.
  • Encourages learning, curiosity, and exploration.
  • 5+ years of nanny experience with infants and toddlers.
  • Excellent communicator.
  • Genuine interest in contributing to the healthy growth and development of the child cognitively, physically, and emotionally. 
  • Seeking a long-term position with a family they can grow with.
  • Enjoys turning everyday moments into learning opportunities.

Job Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Engaging the child in age-appropriate activities (e.g., tummy time, music, songs)
  • Bottle feedings and sterilization of bottles and other baby equipment.
  • Inside play, outdoor exploration, and on walks.
  • Bringing the child to classes within walking distance once she’s a bit older.
  • Diaper changes and supporting overall healthy hygiene.
  • Managing the child’s sleeping and eating schedules. 
  • Manage the child’s laundry.
  • Encourage socialization. 
  • Reading to the child.
  • Eventual meal preparation and introducing solids. 
  • Assisting with restocking essentials like diapers, wipes, and the diaper bag.
  • Keeping the child’s room and shared spaces clean and tidy.
  • Plan activities and playdates.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of nanny experience – primarily with infants and toddlers.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • 2–3 strong, relevant references.
  • Infant CPR certified (or willing to renew certification).

Pluses but not requirements:

  • Familiar with baby ASL (or willing to learn)!
  • Loves to use everyday moments as teaching and learning moments. 

Compensation: $35-40 per hour gross pay on a W-2. Overtime will be paid at 1.5x the base rate.
