Full-Time Nanny / Housekeeper (Live-In Flexibility) Upper East Side

Location: Upper East Side, NYC

Schedule: Wednesday to Sunday

  • On live-out days, the schedule is typically 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
  • On live-in days, the schedule is approximately 7:00/8:00 AM through 7:00 PM or later. A private bedroom and bathroom are provided within the home.

Children’s ages at start: 3 years old and 6 months old girls

Ideal start date: April/May, 2026

A warm and welcoming family on the Upper East Side is seeking a thoughtful, experienced Nanny/Housekeeper to join their home and support the care of their two young daughters, ages 3 years and 6 months.

This is a true hybrid role, ideal for someone who enjoys both childcare and maintaining a well-run household. The family values a positive attitude, flexibility, and initiative in creating a calm, organized environment.

Job Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Prepare bottles, bottle feedings, and sterilize bottles and baby equipment 
  • Feeding the children and cleaning up the kitchen/high chair after their meals
  • Maintaining the children’s sleeping and eating schedules
  • Diaper changes, dress the children, bathe the children, and support their overall healthy hygiene 
  • Keeping the children’s room and bathroom clean and tidy
  • Taking the children on walks, to the parks, and to playdates 
  • Children’s laundry: clean, fold, and organize 
  • Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and main living spaces, including washing dishes, loading and unloading the dishwasher, light vacuuming, tidying toys, and wiping down counters.
  • Meal preparation for the children, and ideally, for the family as well
  • Restocking the changing table, diaper bag, and child-related items
  • Assistance with the bedtime and bathtime routines
  • Engage the children in fun activities such as coloring, games, and imaginative play
  • Drop off and pick up from classes and activities

Ideal Candidate:

  • Genuinely passionate about working with children and supporting their cognitive, physical, and emotional development
  • Attentive and prioritizes the children’s safety and well-being
  • Neat, clean, and organized
  • Warm and friendly with a positive attitude 
  • Professional, with a collaborative mindset, and an excellent communicator
  • Proactive and takes initiative to help around the house and with the children
  • Comfortable with working alongside a hands-on mother who works part-time
  • Interested in a long-term role and growing with the family 
  • Spanish language skills are valued
  • The ability to prepare meals for the family a few times per week is a strong plus

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant nanny experience 
  • Experience with multiple children in the same household
  • Experience supporting the smooth day-to-day functioning of a busy household.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S
  • Professional references from prior families
  • Must be able to live-in approximately 3 nights per week as part of the 5-day schedule.
  • Must be local to NYC
  • The ability to travel with the family on occasion is a plus, though not required. There will be occasional weekends, approximately 2–3 times per year, where the nanny will care for the children in NYC while the parents are away.

Compensation: $35.00-45.00 an hour, depending on experience and credentials
