Start Date: Approximately July 14, 2026 (due date). The contract will be for 4 months, with the possibility of an extension if mutually agreed.
Schedule:
- The position will begin with 24/7 coverage for the first 3-4 weeks.
- It will then adjust to 24/5 coverage for the duration of the contract, with two weekdays off per week (e.g., Tuesdays and Wednesdays).
Location: Watermill, New York. Watermill is located between Southampton and Bridgehampton.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
- Everything related to the child’s safety, care, and well-being
- Guiding parents on best care practices while supporting their decisions.
- Sleep training
- Assist with feeding routines, including breastfeeding and expressed milk
- Diaper changes
- Maintaining the overall healthy hygiene of the baby
- Equipment sterilization
- Keeping the baby’s room and bathroom clean and tidy
- Maintain a clean and sterile environment for the baby
- Providing a list of suggestions for the baby’s room and for baby-related products
- Soothe the baby using skilled, proven techniques that help calm newborns and establish a calm, peaceful environment.
- Keep track of the overnight routine (the baby’s eating, sleeping, and behavioral patterns).
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience as a newborn care specialist and will be highly knowledgeable about infant care, warm, calm, proactive, organized, and professional, with excellent communication skills.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant NCS experience
- Legally permitted to work in the U.S.
- Proactive, supportive, and neat, clean, orderly
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent references
- Trained in Infant CPR and First Aid
- Fully Vaccinated (covid, Tdap, Flu, MMR)
- Calm and professional demeanor
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a multi-staff household
- Animal-friendly – the family has two dogs in the home
Compensation: $700 + per day commensurate with experience and credentials.
