ROTA Nanny/Family Assistant Needed – Position based in White Plains, NY
Primary Locations: White Plains (Westchester), NYC, and Jackson Hole
Children’s Ages: 13-month-old twin girls and 3-year-old boy. The nanny/family assistant will be working with a senior nanny on shift and a stay-at-home mom, so the ideal candidate should be able to work with the infant(s) and/or toddler, independently or as a team.
Ideal Start Date: As soon as the family finds the right fit
Schedule: 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off throughout the year. Flexibility is needed to align with travel arrangements.

Travel: Winters in Jackson Hole (from December to March), and occasional travel throughout the year. The family’s primary residence is in White Plains, NY, and they have secondary residences in Tribeca (NYC) and Jackson Hole. The family will provide airfare on off-weeks while traveling.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A warm, loving, and experienced nanny with at least 5 years of full-time nanny experience and with multiple children in the same family. Twins experience a plus.
- A team player mindset and can work well with the parents, independently, and with other nannies. Willing to pitch in as needed to help the household run smoothly.
- Proactive, takes initiative, and reliable.
- Comfortable in a home where mother is stay-at-home.
- The ideal candidate is flexible and adaptable to family’s needs, open to calm days at home as well as fast-paced, spontaneous travel days
- A long-term commitment to the family and a genuine interest in combining Family Assistant responsibilities with nannying. As the 3-year-old will be attending school and the mom is stay-at-home, the Family Assistant role ensures the household runs smoothly.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to managing responsibilities.
- Punctual, reliable, and professional demeanor while fostering a warm and nurturing atmosphere.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to;
Childcare
- Everything related to the well-being of the children.
- Engaging the children with screen-free and age-appropriate activities.
- Supporting the achievement of age-appropriate milestones (walking, eating solids, sleep/potty training, learning to read)
- Prepare healthy, home-cooked meals and snacks for the children. A nanny who enjoys involving children in the kitchen, especially in fun baking activities, would be a great fit. Family meal prep is a plus for candidates who enjoy cooking and feel comfortable in the kitchen
- Cleanup of kitchen and dining area after children’ s mealtime.
- Diaper changes, dressing the child in weather-appropriate clothes, and maintaining healthy hygiene.
- Bottle feedings and sterilization of equipment.
- Maintaining the children’s nap and eating schedules.
- Bathing and bedtime routine.
- Children’s laundry.
- Restocking child-related items and the diaper bag.
- Walks, reading, indoor and outdoor play.
- Communicating updates to the parents when they are away.
- Arranging playdates + transportation to and from activities.
- Managing seasonal rotation and sizing of children’s clothing, toys, etc.
- Accompanying the family on occasional travels.
- Packing for travels, including but not limited to day trips, week-long domestic and international trips.
Light housekeeping
- Keeping the main spaces of the home and the child’s room clean and tidy.
- Taking out trash.
- Cleaning the refrigerator and freezer.
- Loading/unloading dishwasher.
- Help maintain household organization and restock child-related supplies.
- Occasional errands such as grocery shopping, dry cleaning, coordinating home maintenance services.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant FT nanny experience, specifically with both infants and toddlers.
- 3 + years of FT nanny experience working with multiple children in the same family.
- Driver’s license and experience driving with children on the job.
- Legally permitted to work in the U.S.
- 2-3 valid references
- Flexibility for travel.
- Ability to lift 30+ pounds.
- Occasional overnights are needed in NYC (typically about 5 per month)
Pluses but not requirements:
- Mandarin speaking (Mandarin is occasionally spoken in the home)
- Experience with twins
Accommodations: the position in NY can be live-in or live-out. The live-in accommodations include a private bedroom and a bathroom on the same floor that is separate from the family’s bedrooms and the main spaces.
Compensation: starting at $40+ per hour, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $91,000+ per year.
Benefits: 40 hours of PTO. 1.5x holiday pay when on rotation (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day). Health insurance stipend. Other benefits can be negotiated for the right candidate.
