Location: Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey

*Employers are open to providing a housing stipend to a well-qualified candidate who lives outside the immediate area

General Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 7:30pm

Child’s age: currently 4 months old

Ideal Candidate:

  • Has extensive experience as a nanny (8+ years)

  • Genuinely passionate about working with children and supporting their cognitive, physical, and emotional development
  • Structured and consistent with sleep and feeding routines
  • A strong communicator with both children and parents
  • Reliable, punctual, and highly organized
  • Encourages creativity, imagination, and a love of learning
  • A confident swimmer (there is a pool at the family’s home)
  • Easygoing yet professional demeanor
  • Seeking a long-term position and meaningful relationship with a family

Job Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Engaging the child in age-appropriate activities
  • Diaper changes and supporting overall healthy hygiene
  • Bottle feedings, keeping the bottles and other equipment clean and sterilized
  • Managing the child’s sleeping and eating schedules
  • Manage the child’s laundry
  • Reading to the child, tummy time, indoor and outdoor play
  • Eventually preparing meals for the child
  • Taking the child to activities
  • Keeping the child’s room and the shared spaces in the home clean and tidy

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of nanny experience with a similar age group
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S
  • 2–3 strong, relevant references
  • Must be able to carry the child (currently around 20 lbs) safely up a couple of flights of stairs
  • Vaccinated (TDAP, COVID, Flu)
  • CPR and First Aid Certified (or willing to get it renewed)
  • Non-smoker

Additional Information

  • Because of the family’s location, driving will likely be necessary for commuting and is expected to become part of the role as the child begins attending classes and activities. A valid driver’s license and comfort with driving are preferred.
  • The family may also request that their nanny accompany them on occasional travel—typically once or twice a year for about a week at a time.

Compensation: approximately $40.00+ per hour gross, with overtime paid at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate for hours worked beyond 40 per week.
