**Position Filled**PT Nanny Needed on the Upper West Side

Warm and welcoming parents on the Upper West Side of Manhattan seek a loving, attentive, and engaging Nanny for their 1-year-old son.

The general schedule is 3 days a week, from 8:30 am - 5:30 pm, ideally Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. However, if three other weekdays work better for the ideal candidate, there is room for flexibility.

The position starts as soon as possible.

The ideal candidate will be joyful, reliable, collaborative, communicative, compassionate, honest, calm under stress, neat and organized, and enjoy engaging the child with indoor and outdoor play and creative and educational activities. Gentle parenting, RIE, and Montessori are all philosophies they draw from.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to;

  • Engaging the child in age-appropriate activities.

  • Take the child to classes, activities, the park, and arrange playdates.

  • Child’s laundry.

  • Meal preparation and clean up afterward.

  • Keeping the child’s room, the floors, and the main spaces clean and tidy.

  • Keeping the child’s clothes, toys, and equipment clean and organized.

  • Maintaining daily communication with the parents.

  • Bedtime routine and reading to the child.

The child has asthma-like symptoms and allergies that are being tested. Their nanny will need to learn how to use the inhalers and the Epipen if needed.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant nanny experience.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Punctual and reliable.

  • Patient, calm, understanding.

  • Legally permitted to work in the U.S.

  • Clean background check.

  • 2-3 valid references.

  • Covid Vaccinated and boosted.

  • Must be cat friendly; the family has a long-haired cat.

Salary: + / - (higher or lower than) $30.00 per hour depending on the candidate’s experience and credentials.

Benefits: 1 week of paid vacation, 2-3 sick/personal days, paid major holidays that fall on regularly scheduled work days, and MTA reimbursement.
