A Nanny Match Jobs

An upbeat and loving family of four in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, seeks an engaging, organized, and reliable PT Nanny / Family Assistant. This position starts in August or September. 

The children are 2.5 (b) and almost 3 months old (g). The family’s FT nanny will be with the baby and mother while she is on set at work. This position will be in the afternoons with the older child.

The general schedule is Monday through Friday from around 1 pm - 6 pm or 7 pm. 

There is some flexibility with the start and end times. The family can guarantee 25 hours a week for a candidate who can be responsible for Family Assistant work. The family can guarantee 20 hours a week from 2:30 pm - 6/6:30 pm for a candidate who is interested and available solely for childcare. 

Job responsibilities include everything related to keeping the child safe and engaged;

• Engaging the child in fun and active age-appropriate activities.

• Pick up from school.

• Taking the child to afterschool activities, the parks, and playdates.

• Child’s laundry. 

• Meal preparation for the child.

• Keeping the main spaces clean and tidy.

Family Assistant Responsibilities:

• Restocking household items.

• Keeping the family’s schedule organized, making sure the child has the items needed for school and field trips. 

• While the child is in school, running errands, getting groceries, and meal preparation for the family.

• Family laundry.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of relevant experience and will be playful, fun, engaging, organized, resourceful, firm but loving and can set and maintain rules and boundaries, open, honest, have excellent and direct communication skills, and a genuine interest in working with children and families.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years of relevant nanny experience.

• Legally permitted to work in the U.S. 

• Clean background check.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

• 2-3 excellent references. 

• Sound judgment and safety conscious. 

• Covid Vaccinated.

Salary: + / - $35.00 an hour depending on experience and credentials.

Benefits: 5 days of paid vacation, 3 sick/personal days, and major holidays. Other benefits such as commuter reimbursement can be discussed.
