An experienced Newborn Care Specialist is needed in Tallahassee, Florida, contracted for 8 weeks beginning on December 5th, 2022. Single mother by choice, seeking a responsible and knowledgeable NCS to help her embark on this new adventure.
The general schedule is as follows, with some flexibility needed according to the baby’s schedule and the mother’s recovery from her C-section.

The First 2 weeks will be 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The following 4 weeks will be 10-12 hours a night, 5-6 days a week.

The last two weeks will be a combination of shifts; likely 2-3 days a week 10-12 hour overnights, and 2-3 days a week 24-hour shifts as the mother transitions back to work part-time.
The NCS will have 4-5 hour breaks on days scheduled for 24 hours.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to;

Everything involving the safety, care, and well-being of the child.

Creating and maintaining a sleep schedule for the baby.

Providing guidance on best care practices for the mother and baby.

Bottle feedings, preparing bottles, sterilizing bottles.

Diaper changes, baths, and maintaining healthy hygiene.

The baby’s laundry.

Equipment sterilization.

Keeping the baby’s room and bathroom clean and tidy.

Helping the mom maintain a clean and sterile environment for the baby.
The ideal candidate will have several years of NCS experience and be warm, attentive, honest, thoughtful, flexible, proactive, a self-starter, and actively engaged.
Qualifications:
5+ years of relevant NCS/Baby nurse experience.
Legally permitted to work in the U.S.
Clean background check.
Excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and sound judgment.
Excellent references.
Trained in Infant CPR and First Aid.
Vaccinated.
Salary: Depending on experience and credentials, 24 hours shifts, approximately $500-600 per day. Overnight shifts, approximately $350 - 425. Time off available for the holidays is negotiable.
