Seeking a warm, upbeat, and experienced FT nanny who can offer flexibility during a 9-month contract with a 3-month-old baby girl in NYC. Mom is an actress and will be working on set while the nanny will care for the baby. 

The position starts in September and ends in June, with the possibility of extension to a FT position with regular hours for the right candidate who would like to stay with the family long-term. 

The hours each week vary from approximately 35/40 hours to 60 hours or more. The hours are set by production and will change week to week. The nanny will be responsible for keeping track of her hours each week and submitting them to the payroll company. 

The family has a separate apartment in the same building that the nanny can use if she would like at any time, especially in the case of early morning or late night set times. 

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience working with infants and will be discreet, a great communicator, direct, friendly, proactive, highly organized, clean, reliable, kind, empathetic, and understands the importance of flexibility in this role. 

 

Job responsibilities include everything relating to the well-being of the child, including but not limited to;

  • Accompanying the child and mother to locations such as the stage and on set. 

  • Engaging and stimulating the child with fun and age-appropriate activities.

  • Diaper changes and general support of healthy hygiene.

  • Helping to set & keep the child on an eating and napping schedule.

  • Restocking child-related items and the diaper bag.

  • Keeping the main spaces clean and tidy.

Must be a team player and have excellent communication skills, excellent references, and sound judgment.

Strong preference for a nanny with previous experience working alongside professionals in the entertainment industry, though it’s not a requirement. 

 

Requirements:

3+ years of relevant nanny experience.

2+ years of infant care experience.

Legally permitted to work in the U.S. 

Clean background check.

CPR/First Aid certified for adults and infants (or willing to get it renewed).

Ability to travel if needed. There may be occasional travel to L.A.

Flexibility with the schedule

Vaccinated.

 

Salary: $30.00 an hour for the first 40 hours a week, $45.00 an hour for the additional OT hours.  

Benefits: PTO; federal holidays, one week of paid vacation over Christmas break, 3 sick days, and a monthly metro card reimbursement.
