A warm and welcoming family in Ardsley, NY, is seeking a compassionate, patient, safe, and reliable experienced FT nanny for their two children, ages 4.5 and 18 months old. 

The general schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8am - 6pm.

The position can be live-in or live-out and starts as soon as possible. For a live-in nanny, there is a private bedroom and bathroom. It could also be live-in from M-F for NY/NJ/CT candidates. 

The older child is diagnosed with s special needs (autism spectrum). A nanny with experience with special needs would be a major bonus but it’s not a requirement as long as the candidate is able to understand and follow therapy guidelines given by her therapy team.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to everything relating to the children’s care and well-being: 

 

  • Engaging with the children in age-appropriate activities.

  • Driving to and from school and activities and therapies.

  • Engaging the children in fun, creative, and educational activities.

  • Meal preparation for the children.

  • Arranging playdates and activities. 

  • Maintaining eating and napping schedules.

  • Restocking household items.  

  • Reading to children.

  • Child-related chores, including dishes & laundry, and keeping the children’s room and the main spaces clean, tidy, and organized.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of nanny experience and will be communicative, honest, organized, creative, reliable, trustworthy, a self-starter with a strong work ethic, safety-conscious, punctual, knowledgeable about children’s healthy growth and development, enthusiastic about nurturing the children’s interests, and will prioritize facilitating a healthy and encouraging environment for the children. 

Must be an excellent driver.

 

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant nanny experience

  • Experience working with multiple children in the same family.

  • Driver’s license and clean driving record.

  • Ability to prepare healthy meals for the children. 

  • Legally permitted to work in the U.S. 

  • Clean background check.

  • CPR/First Aid certified for adults and infants (or willing to get it renewed).

  • Vaccinated and boosted.


 

Salary: + / - $30.00-35.00 gross hourly 

Benefits: Two weeks of paid vacation, paid major holidays, and 5 sick days.
