A Nanny Match Jobs

Location: West Village, NYC

Ages of children: the child will be around 5 - 6 weeks old at the start.

Start date: Mid-October

General schedule: 9am—2pm, Monday through Thursday & Saturdays. Fridays and Sundays off. The schedule is somewhat flexible to accommodate the right candidate’s availability. A minimum of 25 hours per week is guaranteed. 

The Ideal Candidate:

• This position is meant for a nanny with extensive infant care experience seeking a steady, long-term PT position for at least the next year or two. 

• The right nanny will be knowledgeable about infant care and child development, warm, communicative, and have a positive and proactive attitude.

• Intuitive with the baby’s needs and can offer advice while respecting the parent’s lead. 

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Supporting the achievement of age-appropriate milestones (e.g. transitioning to solids, tummy time, reading to, etc.)

• Actively engaging with the baby.

• Diaper changes and supporting healthy hygiene.

• Bottle feedings and the sterilization of the bottles and equipment.

• Change the diaper pail, restock the changing table, and keep the bag full.

• Maintaining the child’s nap and eating schedules.

• Child's laundry.

• Eventually, purees and general meal prep for the child.

• Keeping the home's main spaces and the child’s room clean and tidy.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of nanny experience.

• 3+ years of nanny experience with infants.

• Legally permitted to work in the U.S. 

• 2-3 relevant references. 

• Resides within a reasonable commuting distance from the West Village.

Compensation: Legal pay, starting at around $42.50+ per hour or higher, depending on the right candidate's experience, flexibility, and credentials.
