Loving parents in the Flatiron District seek a warm, professional, and actively engaged full-time nanny for their 2.5-year-old son. 

The schedule is Monday through Friday, with the flexibility to create a 40 to 50-hour work week between the general hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Guaranteed hours range from 40 to 50 per week, depending on the right candidate's needs and preferences.

This position ideally starts at the end of June or the beginning of July, but there is flexibility to start in August if needed.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of relevant experience and will be loving, honest, energetic, active, direct, organized, punctual, reliable, and will have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.  

Someone who is safety-conscious, responsible, calm, knowledgeable about child development and will prioritize education and learning and will be enthusiastic about nurturing the children’s interests and healthy growth and development.

 

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Actively engaging the child in educational and fun age-appropriate activities.

  • Supporting the achievement of age-appropriate milestones (e.g. mealtime, socialization, potty training, learning to read).

  • Taking the child to classes, the park, and playdates. 

  • Diaper changes.

  • Maintaining the child’s nap and eating schedules.

  • Children's laundry.

  • Meal preparation for the child (vegetarian).

  • Restocking child-related items and the diaper bag.

  • Walks, reading, indoor and outdoor play.

  • Keeping the home's main spaces and the child’s room clean and tidy.

The family is seeking a candidate who is interested in a long-term position, who will grow with the family, and who can be with them for years to come. 

The family keeps a vegetarian home. 

Requirements

  • 3+ years of nanny experience with infants and toddlers. 

  • Legally permitted to work in the U.S.

  • 2-3 strong and recent references.

  • CPR certified or willing to get it renewed.

  • Vaccinated. 

  • Ability to travel domestically. 

 

Compensation

Salary: Base hourly rate of $33-35 an hour + overtime (1.5x base pay) after 40 hours. 

Benefits: 10 days of paid vacation, paid major holidays, and 5 sick days per year. A healthcare stipend can be negotiated for the right candidate.
