A Nanny Match Jobs

A warm and welcoming family is seeking an active and engaging experienced nanny for their two children, ages 5.5 (g) and 2.5 (b), from August 14th until the 21st in Quogue, Long Island. A private bedroom and bathroom will be provided for the nanny.

The family is visiting from Seattle and staying at the children’s Grandmother’s home. For the first couple of days, the parents will help the nanny, children, and Grandma get acclimated before they go away from the 16th to the 21st.

Grandma and the nanny will work alongside each other to take care of the children. They also have a family friend who lives nearby who will help out in the mornings and afternoons as needed.

The general schedule for the week is as follows: the children wake up around 6:30 am.

Both children have summer camp M-F from 8am - 12 pm (does not require the nanny to be present). The youngest child takes a nap from around 1-3 pm, and bedtime is 7/730pm. 

Job responsibilities include everything relating to the well-being of the children, including but not limited to;

• Engaging the children with age-appropriate activities.

• Reading, imaginative play, outdoor play, indoor play, arts and crafts, etc.

• Coming up with fun activities or assisting with plans Grandma comes up with for the children. 

• Being with the children in the pool.

• Camp drop-off down the road (walking distance).

• Diaper changes, bathtime, brushing teeth, and general support of healthy hygiene.

• Bedtime routine.

• Following the meal plan for the children and remaining aware of the child’s allergies. 

• Children’s laundry.

• Help keeping the children's rooms, the play areas, and the main spaces clean and tidy.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of relevant nanny experience and will be kind, creative, active, fun, warm, patient, a great communicator, and knowledgeable about child development, ages 2 years old to 6 years old. 

Requirements:

• 3+ years of relevant nanny experience.

• Legally permitted to work in the U.S. 

• Clean background check.

• CPR/First Aid certified.

• Ability to swim

• Vaccinated.

• Comfortable around dogs. The family has a very friendly and gentle Golden Doodle. The nanny won’t be responsible for the dog.

• Experience with allergies is a major plus but not a requirement.
• Driving is a major plus but not a requirement.
• Live-in or travel nanny experience is preferred. 

Compensation: + / - $425 per day

Travel reimbursement will be provided back and forth to Quogue.
