Location: Upper East Side of Manhattan

Ages of children:  7.5 and 4.5 years old.

Ideal Start date: As soon as possible

General Schedule: Monday through Friday from approx 1 / 2 PM - 7 / 8 PM. Family Assistant responsibilities and meal preparation can begin around 11 or 12 pm, Monday through Friday.

Travel: Summers are spent in Sag Harbor, M-F. Throughout the year, occasional travel to Miami, Aspen, and other possible locations may be required. 

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Energetic, warm, engaging, reliable, and safety-conscious.

  • Authoritative yet nurturing in approach.

  • Experienced in working with school-age children.

  • Familiarity with the Upper East Side is a plus, but not required.

  • Highly organized, empathetic, and able to manage transitions smoothly between two households (parents share custody, both living on the UES).

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Actively engage the children in educational and fun, age-appropriate activities.

  • Taking the children to classes, activities, parks, and playdates.

  • School drop-offs and pick-ups.

  • Assist with morning routines and getting the children ready for school.

  • Maintain and manage the children's schedules.

  • Handle children's laundry.

  • Manage bedtime and bath routines.

  • Prepare meals for the children, including packing lunches and cooking balanced dinners.

  • Keep the main living spaces and children’s rooms clean and tidy.

  • Assist with homework.

  • Reading with the children.

  • Family Assistant responsibilities while the children are in school, including picking up dry cleaning, running errands, managing the household, meal preparation, etc.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to drive.

  • 5+ years of relevant nanny experience.

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

  • 2-3 relevant references.

  • Strong organizational skills to manage schedules and transitions.

  • Ability to foster stability and a nurturing environment in both homes.

  • Skilled in preparing healthy, child-friendly meals.

  • Swims. Comfortable in the water as summer homes have swimming pools. 

Salary: Approximately $105,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience. Based on an approximate gross hourly rate of $35-$40.
