#494 - Live-in or Live-Out FT Nanny Needed in Greenwich, CT

A tight-knit and welcoming family in Greenwich, CT, is seeking a warm and engaging full-time nanny to care for their two children, ages 5 (b) and 7 (b). This position starts as soon as possible.

The live-in schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30am-8:30am and approximately 12:00 pm-8 pm. 

The live-out schedule is Monday through Friday, 12pm - 8 pm. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Live-in schedule: wake up with the children, give them breakfast, pack lunches, and prepare them for school. 

Live-in or live-out schedule:

  • Family assistant responsibilities are performed during the day while the children are in school until 2:30pm,, such as family laundry, family groceries, meal prep, running errands, light housekeeping, and helping to care for the cat. 

  • School pick up 

  • Driving the children to activities and playdates. 

  • Meal preparation for the children.

  • Homework help

  • Bedtime and bathtime routine.

  • Engaging with the children in play and activities

  • Keeping the children’s room, the kitchen, and the main spaces clean and tidy.

The Ideal Candidate is warm, friendly, positive, safe, engaging, and seeking a long-term nanny position. Someone who has a significant amount of experience working in a household with school-aged children and is thoughtful, proactive, organized, and flexible.

Requirements:

  • 5 + years of relevant nanny experience with school-aged children.

  • Legally permitted to work in the U.S. 

  • 2-3 relevant references. 

  • Must live within the tri-state area.

  • Driver’s license and experience driving with children. The nanny will have use of the family car.

  • Comfortable in a pool (for safety reasons - a swimming pool at the house).

  • Must like cats. The family has one cat.

Compensation: Legal pay, approximately $40 per hour gross.

Benefits: Ten days of vacation, paid federal holidays, 5-6 sick days, and other benefits can be negotiated for the right candidate.

Live-in accommodations: a private bedroom and bathroom, separate from the family bedrooms.
