An active and loving family of 6 based in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, is seeking an experienced and professional ROTA nanny to join their team!

The ages of the children are 9 (b), 7 (g), 6 (b), and 4 (g) years old. 

The position will include summer travel to the Hamptons, occasional travel to their homes in Florida, the Jersey Shore, Aspen, and other travel as needed. 

The schedule will be ROTA (rotational). Flexibility is required, and ample notice will be provided for the month’s schedule. Some weeks may be 6 or 7 days on and multiple days off, and other weeks may be 4 or 5 days on and multiple days off. FT schedule/hours equivalent to about 200 hours per month, 12 months a year, are guaranteed. 

The two boys are diagnosed with ADHD and are actively working on therapies.

 

The ideal candidate will be educated, have special needs experience, live-in experience, and enjoy working on a team. The children are creative, intelligent, inquisitive, and playful. The family has a private FT Chef, housekeepers, a house manager, and two other ROTA nannies. Mom is actively engaged in the children’s day-to-day lives.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to;

  • Engaging the children with fun and age-appropriate activities.

  • Driving to and from school and activities. 

  • General meal prep for the kids. 

  • Bedtime and bathtime routines.

  • Homework help.

  • Indoor and outdoor activities. 

  • Child-related light housekeeping and helping the children pick up after themselves.

  • Assistance with child-related scheduling (i.e. appointments, dentist, school projects, etc)

  • Child-related errands.

  • Helping the housekeeper with the children's laundry.

  • Restocking child-related items and organization of child-related items. 

  • Keeping the main spaces of the home and the child’s room clean and tidy.

The right candidate will be proactive, energetic, organized, patient, kind, knowledgeable about child development, enthusiastic about nurturing the children’s interests, and have excellent communication skills. 

 

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant FT nanny experience.

  • At least two years of FT experience with multiple children. 

  • At least two years of experience as a live-in nanny.  

  • Legally permitted to work in the U.S.

  • 2-3 valid references

  • Driver’s license and experience driving children on the job. 

  • A college degree. 

  • Ability to travel.

Although it’s not a requirement, preference will be given to candidates with experience with special needs - whether it’s through childcare, in a school setting, or elsewhere. 

Annual Salary: Competitive and determined by experience and credentials, starting at approximately $130,000 per year, based on working approximately 200 hours per month.
