Part-Time Nanny in South Harlem

Location: South Harlem, Manhattan (near Columbia University)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, from 2 pm – 7 pm (potential for additional hours)

Child’s age: 1.5 years old (girl)

Ideal start date: March/April

Job Responsibilities:

• Engage the child in fun, creative, and educational activities (e.g.,trips to parks, museums, imaginative play, etc).
• Pick up from daycare.
• Read to the child and help develop her language skills—she loves books!
• Diaper changes and promoting healthy hygiene.
• Support age-appropriate milestones, including potty training.
• Child’s laundry.
• Prepare snacks and meals for the child.
• Tidy up the child’s toys, room, and main play/eating areas.

Ideal Candidate:

• Warm, kind, active, attentive and engaging.
• Enthusiastic about fostering the child’s intellectual curiosity.
• A strong communicator.

Allergy Information: The child is allergic to eggs, cashews, and pistachios.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of nanny experience with toddlers.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• 2–3 strong, relevant references.
• CPR certified (or willing to renew certification).
• Up-to-date on vaccinations (covid, flu).
• Comfortable navigating NYC via public transportation.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Starting at $35/hr gross, based on experience and credentials.
• 5 paid vacation days
• Paid major holidays.
• 3 paid sick days per year.
• Monthly MTA pass reimbursement.
