Full-Time Nanny Needed in Ossining, NY

Location: Ossining, NY (Upper Westchester)

Schedule: Typically 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Due to the nature of the parents’ careers, flexibility is required for occasional earlier start or end times. The parents will provide as much advance notice as possible, usually 5–7 days. The position guarantees 40 hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours on a regular basis.

Child’s age: currently 3 months old (boy)

Ideal start date: by mid-April, with flexibility to start sooner.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Kind, warm, loving, reliable, playful, and open-minded.
  • 4+ years of experience with infants and toddlers.
  • Physically capable of carrying the baby up and down stairs in the home.
  • Holds a driver’s license and is comfortable driving children.
  • Appreciates the arts and music.
  • Engaging, creative, and an open communicator.

Job Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Engaging the child in age-appropriate activities (e.g., tummy time, flashcards, music, songs).
  • Diaper changes and maintaining healthy hygiene.
  • Maintaining the child’s sleep and feeding schedules.
  • Managing the child’s laundry.
  • Reading to the child and taking him on walks.
  • Bottle feedings, including sterilization of bottles and baby equipment.
  • Keeping a daily communication log or group message with the parents.
  • Assisting with restocking essentials like diapers, wipes, and the diaper bag.
  • Keeping the child’s room and shared spaces clean and tidy.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant nanny experience with infants and toddlers.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • 2–3 strong, relevant references.
  • Lives within a reasonable distance from Ossining.
  • Infant CPR certified (or willing to renew certification).
  • Up-to-date on vaccinations, including Tdap, MMR, COVID, and flu.
  • Valid driver’s license and experience driving with children.
  • Must be comfortable with dogs, as the family has one.

Compensation: $30–$35 per hour.
